Activities
The purpose of Central Sweden´s international work is to create the right conditions enabling international and EU programmes to become significant growth factors in the region. Our activities focus on the following domains: information and training, project support, networking, and also policymaking and lobbying.
The Central Sweden Brussels Office
The Central Sweden Brussels Office is both the region´s gateway in the Capital of Europe and an outpost passing on information to the EU institutions and the offices of the 240 or so other European regions represented in Brussels. The office monitors issues of particular interest to its members, provides support regarding applications for EU funding, and arranges study visits to Brussels for various groups, ranging from classes of schoolchildren to policy-makers looking to be briefed on specific issues. Finally, the office also helps to bring the needs of Central Sweden´s members to the attention of EU decision-makers, and markets Central Sweden as an attractive partner for cooperation.
